With Tandem Skydiving you are harnessed to a fully qualified BPA instructor. Your instructor controls the whole descent, including the parachute opening and landing.

The great advantage of this is that you don’t need any experience as your instructor controls everything. This really is the ultimate adrenaline experience, imagine boarding the aircraft and climbing to 10-13,000 feet, then it’s your turn and both you and the instructor leap out of the plane to commence the freefall at speeds of 120 mph, you will continue to freefall and skydive for around 50 seconds before your instructor pulls the cord and the canopy opens up above you where you glide into the landing zone, this surely is the ultimate thrill for adrenaline junkies!

What happens on the day?

Upon arrival you will be enrolled as a provisional member of the British Parachute Association and you will be provided with all the equipment needed including the skydivers jump suit, this goes over your clothes, be sure to wear comfortable clothing such as a track suit and trainers.

You will have a short safety briefing where you will learn about skydiving, freefall and the various landing techniques. This is one to one training so you can be reassured of your instructors personal attention at all times, this lasts for around 30 minutes.

When you board the plane and take to the skies it will take around 20-25 minutes to reach the desired altitude of 10-13,000 feet before you make your jump of a lifetime. It’s just all smiles from there and you’ll probably never stop talking about it!
