Lancashire Tandem Skydiving

This Skydiving school is located in the Lancashire countryside near Lancaster and is one of the longest established skydiving training centres in the UK.  The school is conveniently located near the M6 motorway and is accessible from the north west of England.

Training for Tandem Sky Diving takes around 20 minutes and is normally carried out in the morning with the jump following soon after, the jump height is 10,000 feet. This Drop Zone currently uses an Islander aircraft , which can climb to 10,000ft in 30 minutes, however from March it is being replaced by a Pilatus Porter aircraft which can climb to 15,000ft in 14 minutes!

Skydives can be recorded on video for a fee of £70 payable on the day but must be booked in advance. All Tandem skydivers will receive a personalised souvenir certificate and provisional membership to the British Parachute Association is also included with each jump.

Restrictions
Minimum Age: 16
Maximum Age: Over 40’s should provide a Doctor’s Declaration of Fitness
Maximum Weight: 15 stone

All skydivers in Lancashire are required to complete a witnessed declaration of health, for under 18’s the witness must be a parent or guardian.

If you are disabled this does not mean you cannot skydive!

For Tandem Skydiving you should allow the full day.

What to Wear
Wear comfortable clothes for your tandem skydive, as you’ll be wearing safety equipment and a jump suit over your clothes including a cap, goggles and gloves.

Spectators
This Drop Zone has a canteen that serves hot and cold snacks and drinks. There is a free wireless internet access point and a shop selling souvenirs.

Weather
All Skydiving is subject to weather conditions, if you cannot jump on the day your jump will be rescheduled.
