Tandem Skydiving in the Lake District
Tandem Skydiving in the Lake district is a fantastic experience, you can see for miles around the most picturesque view across the British Isles. You will be jumping from 14,500 feet harnessed to your instructor as the passenger on the most exhilarating journey of your life.

Upon arrival to the Northwest Skydiving school you will watch a safety & techniques video then it’s on to the practice mats to learn the ‘tuck and roll’ techniques. Once kitted out with your safety equipment you make your way to the PAC 750 XL plane which has been especially designed for skydiving.

You will be harnessed to your instructor as will your fellow tandem skydivers and climb to the height of 14,500 feet, the hatch is opened and one by one you shuffle up to the open door, sitting in the doorway you’ll both roll out and experience freefall at 120 mph until the parachute is opened, its then views and freedom all around as you begin your gentle descent towards the landing zone. You’ll also receive a certificate and treasure your memories of a spectacular day Tandem Skydiving in the Lakes.

Minimum Age: 16
Maximum Age: Over 40’s Need a Doctor’s Declaration of Fitness
Maximum Weight: 15 stone

You are required to complete a declaration of health , which must be witnessed. For under 18’s the witness must be a parent or guardian. If you are disabled this does not mean you cannot skydive!

For Tandem skydiving you should allow the full day.

Wear casual warm clothes as you will be wearing a ‘jump’ boiler suit over your clothing. Group Size /

Spectators are welcome and there is a clubhouse with canteen serving tea, coffee and snacks, there’s also a pool table, showers and TV.

All Skydiving is weather dependent but if you cannot jump on the day your skydive will be rescheduled.

Tandem Skydiving in the Lake District is available on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays. During summer months, the odd weekday around once per month is also made available.
