The AFF Level 1 Course gives you the experience and thrills of jumping from an aircraft from 12,000ft solo, there will be two fully qualified instructors who will jump with you and be at your side as you descend.

You will be freefalling for around a minute before you deploy the parachute, at this point your instructors will leave your side.

With the parachute deployed you will glide gently back towards the landing zone where you will be guided back in to the landing area through radio assistance.

This is a fantastic skydiving venture and is also part one of an eight level course that can if you wish lead to becoming a fully qualified skydiver!

This course can last for up to two days however depending on the centre it can sometimes be completed in one day.

AFF Level 1 Course Format

You will start with around six hours of ground training where you will learn techniques for exiting the aircraft, altitude awareness, parachute control and landing in fact everything  you need to know in order to safely jump out of an aircraft without an instructor harnessed to you.

When it comes to the jump your two instructors will jump with you and stay by your side making sure that all is well, you will use hand signals that you learned in training to converse with each other. After approximately 7000ft of freefall you will deploy your own parachute and glide back towards the landing zone. Radio assistance is always at hand during the descent.

The course fee includes P6 membership to the British Parachute Association, third party insurance, all instruction, hire of parachutes, helmets, radios, altimeters, overalls, your aircraft ride and your jump.
